ID MOS designs and industrializes application specific integrated circuits (ASICs).

Profil Partner
ID MOS has the tools, methods and know-how in ASIC design and testing, and masters the entire supply chain from integrated circuit manufacturing to assembly and testing.

History and Expertise
Created in 2001, ID MOS became a subsidiary of the SERMA group in 2003. Since then, ID MOS has seen a steady growth in its business to become a benchmark in the development of specific integrated circuits (ASICs). To date, more than 300 ASICs have been developed and marketed.
ID MOS is a leader in the development of specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for innovative applications with high added value in constrained environments. ID MOS addresses a wide variety of sectors including: industrial control systems, oil & gas exploration, pyrotechnics, energy monitoring, railway control systems, aeronautics (sensor interfaces, communication and power functions of the sensor nodes), predictive maintenance systems etc.

ID MOS’s positioning in the ASIC space is as follows:
- Leader of the “More than Moore” offer: the circuits developed by ID MOS include advanced features that allow, for example, to embed very low-noise analog signal conditioning and magnetic sensors on an ASIC, to manage high-voltage signals (100V and more), to deliver power to transducers, to perform sophisticated signal processing including neural network-based computing accelerators for the edge AI.
- A reference in the development of solutions in constrained environments: ID MOS ASIC solutions aim to remove the barriers related to the use of integrated circuits operating at high or very high temperatures (up to 200°C or more) and/or operating in environments subject to radiations and requiring rad hard circuits. ID MOS has developed and continues to develop a recognized know-how in these fields in partnership with European silicon foundries, allowing it to respond optimally to the demands of the aeronautics, space, and nuclear sectors in particular.
ID MOS also has a privileged access to the SERMA Microelectronics and SERMA Technologies, entities of the SERMA Group, offering capabilities for IC packaging, characterization, test, defect analysis and qualification.

Service offering in IC-DASH and contribution to Work Package
Within the IC-DASH DET ID MOS provides its expertise in mixed-mode ASIC development including: device specification, design & verification, manufacturing, wafer probing, packaging, characterization & qualification.
As part of Work Package 2 (WP2), ID MOS will support the DET customers in using the cloud-based design platform integrated with the EuroCDP central cloud infrastructure, enabling access to high-performance computing resources and advanced design tools.
Within Work Package 3 (WP3), ID MOS will contribute to the implementation of a structured and transparent process for selecting IC-DASH partner contributions to User projects, ensuring fairness and efficiency among partners. IDMOS will transparently assess its ability to meet the expressed needs of DET’s potential customers, and will support them if appropriate (depending on the decisions taken with the other partners) throughout the entire ASIC design and industrialization value chain.
Within Work Package 4 (WP4), ID MOS with other consortium members will develop synergies with other DET initiatives to expand the range of services and strengthen the European semiconductor ecosystem, while promoting and disseminating the IC-DASH platform among industrial and technological stakeholders across Europe.
